3. Refitting (page 3 of 4)

Fit the tool [0191-2J].
Tighten the bolt (32).
Remove the tool [0191-2J].

• The chain pad (25)
• The bolt (6)
• The hydraulic tensioner (26)
• The oil pump (24)

Refit: The hydraulic tensioner (27).

CAUTION : If the piston " e " of the tensioner (27) comes out of its housing during refitting;Replace the hydraulic tensioner 27 (Hydraulic tensioner with non return device ).

CAUTION : Push at "f" on the chain pad (21) to fully compress the piston "e" of the hydraulic tensioner (27);Using a screwdriver through the opening in the camshaft carrier. Release the pressure on the chain pad (21). Check that the piston "e" of the hydraulic tensioner (27) tensions the timing chain (21).

Tighten :
• The (17) bolt
• The (20) bolt
• The (23) bolt

Remove :

• The tools [0191-2B]
• The tool [0191-2A]

Turn the crankshaft 4 turns in the normal direction of rotation.

Refit :

• The tools [0191-2R]

CAUTION : Check that the camshafts and crankshaft are correctly pegged If the adjustment is ineffective, carry out the timing adjustment operation again.
