EARTHS - OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

The earths present on the vehicle, categorised according to their relationship with the various wires, are as follows.

Crossmember wiring:

- left front earth, C10 A

Engine service wiring:

- injection control unit earth, C60 (only 1.3 JTD engine)

- battery earth, C1 (only 1.9 JTD engine)

Facia wiring:

- driver''s dashboard earth, C 15 C

- Air Bag system earth, C50 A

Rear wiring:

- left front earth, C10 B

- ABS front earth, C12

- electric steering front earth, C14

- driver side facia earth, C15 A, C15 B

- passenger side facia earth, C20

- left rear earth, C30 A. C30 B

- Air Bag system earth, C50 B

Battery negative wiring:

- battery earth on engine (on gearbox), C02

- battery earth on bodyshell, C03

Engine wiring:

- compressor earth, C39 (only petrol engines and 1.9 JTD )

- earth on engine, C40, C40 B (petrol engine only)

Air conditioner/heater wiring:

- air conditioning unit earth, C16
