CD CHANGER NOT WORKING

The CD-Changer is supplied and operated directly by the radio module.

Results of the tests

Check that the fault does not stem from incorrect use.

Check that the buttons are working on versions with controls on the steering wheel

Continue to Step 1CD not correctly positionedRestore the correct position.

With the CD-Changer and radio removed from their housing, carry out See Test 5580PH Check operation of CD- Changer module and radio module

On the disconnected CD-Changer connector, check in the following order:

  • Continuity/insulation of the wiring between the radio and the connector for the CD-Changer.
  • Presence of signals enabling reading of music discs
  • Continuity/insulation of the wiring between the radio and the CD Changer.
  • Presence of music disc audio signals.

Check, on the radio connector:

  • presence of signals enabling reading of music discs in the CD-Changer
  • presence of supply positive and earth to CD-Changer

Check for audio signals, at the radio connector, coming from the CD Changer.
