STUB AXLE - HUB
Checking stub axle
The stub axle should not show any signs of cracks, distortions or wear or it must be replaced.
Checking hub
If the wheel bearing is replaced due to noise or excess clearance then the hub and attachment flange also have to be replaced as they come in one piece.
FLEXIBLE BUSH
Removing-refitting bracket anchoring rear axle to bodyshell
Checking centre flexible bush anchoring rear axle to bodyshell
Ensure that the flexible bush does not have any traces of wear or else the complete axle has to be replaced.
