2CHECK ON CORRECT MANUAL CONTROL OPERATIONAll OKProblems encounteredOperation

Before starting, check the following conditions:

  • ambient temperature around 20 °C
  • vehicle with doors and windows closed (during the cooling and measuring of the temperature)

With the engine on, at ambient temperature (check using the diagnostic equipment that the passenger compartment temperature and evaporator sensors indicate about 20 °C), with the vehicle compressor on, adjust the temperature to maximum cold LO, the distribution to the front position, the speed for the selector to the 2nd speed and the outside air intake function. After about 5 minutes in these conditions, check using the diagnostic equipment that the temperature values for the passenger compartment and evaporator sensors show a decrease: from the initial temperature of about 20 °C (ambient temp.) and gradually decrease to a temperature of about 3.5°C for the evaporator sensor and between 6 and 10°C for the front distribution air vents. Check whether the temperature of the air coming out of the vents actually alters (becoming colder)

Move on to Step 5The air coming out of the climate control vents does not feel colderMove on to Step 3
3CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTAll OKProblems encounteredOperation

Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment and check:

  • that there are no faults in the outside temperature sensor
  • that there are no faults in the front sensor

4ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation

Check the continuity/insulation of the electrical connection:

  • of the sensor if there is an error at the outside temperature sensor;
  • of the frost sensor if there is an error at the frost sensor

2CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATION OF CLIMATE CONTROL NODEAll OKProblems encounteredOperation

Before starting, check the following conditions:

  • ambient temperature around 20 °C
  • vehicle with doors and windows closed (during the cooling and measuring of the temperature)

With the engine on, at ambient temperature (check using the diagnostic equipment that the passenger compartment temperature and evaporator sensors indicate about 20 °C), with the vehicle compressor on, place the control unit to AUTO, adjust the temperature to maximum cold LO, the distribution to the front position, the fan speed to 3 bars and the outside air intake function.
