REFITTING SECOND SAFETY DEVICE IN PRETENSIONER

This pretensioner has a second safety feature, which is a device which only allows the pretensioner to be activated when the seat belt is fastened.

The device consists of a safety lever (B) and a spring (G).

The safety lever (B) is hinged on the support pin (H) at the pivot point (F); its arm (A) is pushed against the outer diameter of the belt by means of the spring (G).

When the belt diameter (I) is at its maximum (belt not fastened), the lug (E), located at the end of the arm (C) of the lever (B), engages the lever (D) and prevents it from moving.

When the belt diameter (I) decreases (belt fastened), the safety lever (B) rotates in the pivot pin (F) and, releasing the lever (D), allows it to move in the case of pre-established vehicle deceleration values.
