WARNING

The intensity of the impact may cause deformations to the seat frame.

Therefore carry out the following checks to verify the condition of the backrest structure.

  • Visually check that the seat frame has no deformations or cracks.
  • Check that the collapse slots on the lower sides of the backrest are not deformed.
  • Check that the welds and rivets sealing the joints between the backrest and cushion are intact.
  • Check for any torsional deformation of the backrest by measuring the diagonals of the backrest frame.
  • Ensure that the measurements are equal and that the intersection of the diagonals is located at the centre of the backrest.
  • Operate all seat functions, verifying that they occur without sticking or noise.
  • Reconnect the wiring and secure it to the fixing points.
  • Fit the side AIR BAG module and engage it on the fixing hook, present on the backrest frame.
  • Using a suitable riveting machine and new rivets of adequate size, fix the side AIR BAG module to the seat frame.
  • Fit the seat padding in the area surrounding the side AIR BAG module.

Continue with the reassembly procedure by carrying out the removal procedure in reverse order.
