  • Free the wiring from its retainers and remove the side Air-Bag module (1), complete with wiring, from the seat.

Reinstallation

WARNING

Ensure that the battery is disconnected; handle the Air-Bag module with extreme caution.

If installing a new module, arrange the relevant labels; remove the removable part of the adhesive label from the new module and place it in a specific file, recording the vehicle details (model, registration data, VIN) and the serial number of the old module. The file must be kept for possible checks.

A new adhesive plate is supplied with the module to be stuck over the one already present on the vehicle. However, before doing so, perforate it corresponding to the month and the 14 years following the year in which the module is fitted (e.g. if fitted in 2003, this corresponds to 2017).
