MANUFACTURING FEATURES
This is a traditional type of clutch with a single dry disc and hydraulic thrust mechanism.
DESCRIPTION
General
Seicento SX versions are fitted with an automatic clutch.
The innovative aspect of this vehicle consists in a system which detects when the driver is going to shift gear and, consequently, controls clutch engagement/disengagement (traditional disc thrust disc) completely automatically.
This automatism makes the clutch engagement/disengagement pedal totally obsolete and offers the opportunity to drive the vehicle using the brake and accelerator pedals only.
It is useful to remember that while the vehicle is running, the driver will decide when to shift gears. The automatism, in fact, is operated only when the gear lever is used. This aspect is important as drivers have the same autonomy and can adopt the same driving style as when driving a vehicle with a traditional clutch.
