  1. Replace the sliding joint boot clamp.

  1. Replace the sliding joint seal bearing (1a) using a universal puller (1b).

  • Right axle shaft: withdraw the sliding joint boot and the boot retainer flange.
  • Left axle shaft: withdraw the sliding joint boot.

Reassembly

  • Position the sliding joint boot clamp on the axle shaft.
  • Right axle shaft: insert the sliding joint boot and the boot retainer flange.
  • Left axle shaft: insert the sliding joint boot.
  1. Assemble the sliding joint seal bearing (1a) with tool (1b)
