Refitting

  • Assemble the rev sensor and fasten the screw.
  • Check the distance between the sensor nucleus and the tip of the phonic wheel tooth falls within tolerance values with a surface gauge.

  • Lay the wire in the upper part of the engine compartment and lower the vehicle.
  • Connect the electric connections.
  • Position the cable and close the plastic fastening.

Removal

  • Position the vehicle on a shop jack.
  1. Disconnect the electrical connections.

  • Release the wire from the plastic fastenings on the tapet cover.

  1. Lift the vehicle. Remove the fastening screws (1a) and the rev sensor (1b) by pulling out the previously released wire.

Refitting

  • Assemble the rev sensor and fasten the screw.
  • Check the distance between the sensor nucleus and the tip of the phonic wheel tooth falls within tolerance values with a surface gauge.

  • Lay the wire in the upper part of the engine compartment and lower the vehicle.
