T05 Bonnet wind noise

With the car moving, noise leading from the front part of the passenger compartment can be heard. If required, run the preliminary wind noise localisation test TESTS 70 TEST A, to check the wind noise is actually leading from the bonnet

Preliminarily check:
– correct closure of bonnet

1 CHECK LOCALISATION OF WIND NOISE ON BONNET Run a test to localise bonnet wind noise accurately TESTS 7025 TEST A and localise the area the wind noise is leading from. The noise is not localised: go to Step 2 Wind noise leading from bonnet sides (zone A of 7025 TEST A) Check sponge pads near bonnet and mudguard rear coupling.
Moreover, check intactness and correct assembly of wind seals PROCEDURE OP. 7025A62
Wind noise leading from bonnet front (zone C of 7025 TEST A) Moreover, check intactness and correct assembly of front wind seal PROCEDURE OP. 7025A62
2 CHECK BULKHEAD Check bulkhead. In particular, check the following:
– caps present
– caps assembled correctly
– cable rubbers fitted correctly
– correct assembly		 All OK Problems found Intervention
Go to Step 3 Faulty bulkhead Restore bulkhead
3 CHECK CORRECT OPERATION Check the fault is no longer present All OK Problems found Intervention
End of test Fault persists Seek the fault starting from another symptom. If required, run the preliminary test (TESTS 70 TEST A) to localise wind noise source.
