CLUTCH DRIVE CHECK

Check 2127K

2.4 20v · Smart gearbox

1 Connect the Examiner Plus or Smart diagnostic equipment.

2 Start the vehicle and place the gear lever in neutral

3 Use the Examiner Plus or Smart to check whether the clutch rpm is greater than zero (with engine idling)

4 If as under point 3, check clutch is catching

In active diagnosis, carry out the calibration of the clutch parameters through the 'clutch self-calibration enablement'.

Repeat points 2 to 4. If the fault does not occur, move on to point 5.

5. If the clutch is not catching, let the engine reach operating temperature and heat up the clutch (with the accelerator pedal pressed beyong halfway).

Repeat points 1 to 3.

If as under point 3, check clutch is driven.

The clutch catching often occurs when the engine is hot.
