OIL LEVEL CHECK

Check 2127B

2.4 20v · Smart gearbox

The amount of fluid required to fill the hydraulic system is 800 cc.

The check in question is carried out with the oil at ambient temperature (engine cold).

Turn the ignition key to the ON position.

Make 10 gear changes with the engine off (operation required to recover any fluid traces through recycling).

Connect the Examiner Plus or Smart diagnostic equipment.

Select the 'accumulator depressurisation' service and run.

The selespeed reservoir (in the engine compartment) will be full of fluid as a result of the above command.

Open the bonnet and check the fluid level against the reference marks on the reservoir.

If the fluid level is below the MAX mark, note the amount of fluid required to top up.
