INSTRUMENT STOP SIGNAL

The STOP signal indicates the simultaneous presence of a fault that is normally signalled by the specific warning lights

The coming on of the warning light depends on the information received by the Body Computer Node and it is displayed in the Milometer Warning Lights Node located on the steering column.

STEPOPERATIONS TO BE CARRIED OUTTEST RESULTS
0PRELIMINARY CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Turn the ignition key ON and check that no other faults are signalled.Move on to Step1. Water temperature fault signalled.

1.

See table K25 ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE NOT WORKING

2. Water level fault signalled.

2.

See table K28 ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SIGNALLED BY INSTRUMENT TOO LOW

3. Tyre fault signalled3. Continue as described in the table [K118]
4. Brake fluid level fault signalled.4.
5. Handbrake applied signalled.5.
6. EBD fault signalled.6.
7. Engine oil level fault signalled.

7.

See table K31 ENGINE OIL LEVEL NOT WORKING

8. Engine oil temperature fault signalled.8. Continue as described in the table [K116].
9. Engine oil pressure fault signalled.

9.

See table K30 MINIMUM ENGINE OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT NOT WORKING

1BATTERY VOLTAGE CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Check that the battery voltage is correct.Move on to StepBattery voltage not correct.Restore the correct voltage.
2CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment and check, in the Milometer Warning Lights Node ambient, that there are no errors and the following parameters are present and plausible:

  • Engine oil level
Move on to Step1. Impossible to connect with the control unit.Move on to Step
2. Presence of errorsMove on to Step
3. Values not correct.

3.

See table K31 ENGINE OIL LEVEL NOT WORKING

3ERRORS CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Check for the presence of one or more of the following errors using the Examiner in the Milometer Warning Lights Node ambient:

  • No communication with the BSI
  • VAN line error
  • Control unit broken
  • Communication error with Instrument Panel Node
Move on to Step1. No communication with Body Computer error detected and/or VAN CON network and/or control unit broken error.Move on to Step
2. Communication error with NQSMove on to Step
4ACTIVE DIAGNOSIS CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

With the Examiner in the Milometer Warning Lights Node ambient check that the function in question is correctly activated in Active Diagnosis.

  • Oil level gauge
  • Autotest
Move on to StepThe component in question is not activated. It is not operated by the "active diagnosis".Replace the Milometer Warning Lights Node control unit.
6BATTERY VOLTAGE CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Check that the battery voltage is correct.Move on to StepBattery voltage not correct.Restore the correct voltage.
7CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment and check, in the Body Computer ambient, that there are no errors and the following parameters are present and vary:

  • Tyre pressure 1, 2, 3, 4
  • Handbrake
  • Oil pressure alarm
  • Engine oil level
  • Engine coolant level alarm
  • Coolant temperature
Move on to Step1. Impossible to connect with the control unit.1. Replace the Body Computer control unit.
2. Presence of errors.Move on to Step
3. Tyre pressure values not correct.3. Continue as described in the table [K118].
4. Handbrake values not correct.4.
5. Engine oil parameter values not correct.

5.

See table K31 ENGINE OIL LEVEL NOT WORKING

6. Engine coolant parameter values not correct.

6.

See table K25 ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE NOT WORKING

8ERRORS CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Check for the presence of one or more of the following errors using the Examiner in the Body Computer ambient:

  • VAN CONF error: connection with Node in question
  • VAN CONF operation inconsistency:
  • Multif. display error or navig.
  • CAN line (connection with Node in question)
  • CAN line error (connection with other control units)
  • Brake fluid level alarm
  • Hydraulic circuit pressure error
  • Low tyre inflation pressure module error 1/2/3/4
  • Engine oil level error
  • Engine oil level sensor error
  • Oil pressure error
  • Oil pressure alarm
  • Engine oil temperature sensor error
  • Engine coolant level alarm
  • Radiator coolant level error
  • Coolant temperature alarm
  • Coolant temperature sensor error
  • Control unit broken.
Move on to Step1. No communication with Node in question error detected and/or VAN error and/or control unit broken.Move on to Step
2. No communication with Node in question error detected and/or CAN error and/or control unit broken.Move on to Step
3. Braking system fault detected.3.
4. Engine lubrication system fault detected.

4.

See table K30 MINIMUM ENGINE OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT NOT WORKING

5. Engine cooling system fault detected.

5.

See table K25 ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE NOT WORKING

6. Control unit broken.6. Replace the Body Computer control unit
