Irregular engine operation (fluctuations between 1500 and 2000 rpm) and/or climate control system not working efficiently - Service Solution

FAULT COMPLAINED OF

Irregular engine operation (fluctuations) during slight acceleration noticeable between 1500 and 2000 rpm and/or climate control system not working efficiently.

TECHNICAL CAUSE

Certain software functions cause the irregular operation of the injection control unit.

OPERATIONS IN PRODUCTION

Injection control unit software updated with new settings.

Network behaviour standards towards the Customer

• If this problem is reported and confirmed, reassure the Customer that the irregular engine operation can be solved by reprogramming the injection control unit.
• After the operation, show the Customer the work that has been done and test the vehicle, making sure that they are satisfied.

Service Solution:if this problem is reported and confirmed, reprogramme the injection control unit using the the special Flash 3.30 CD.

OPERATING CYCLE

Using the Examiner with release 5.60.2 or higher, reprogramme the injection control unit with the new software on the Flash 3.30 CD no. 1806489000

Before beginning the reprogramming procedure, the battery must be connected to a battery charger because the radiator fan will come on and remain on during the procedure.
