Headlamps

The RH side of the vehicle operates in much the same way. Fuse 12 (C581-4) supplies a feed to the RH front side lamp (C537-2) on a red/orange wire. The side lamp is earthed (C537-1) is earthed on a black wire. Connected in parallel with the side lamp is the trailer pick-up (C1144-1), which is also supplied a feed on a red/orange wire. The trailer pick-up (C1144-2) is connected to the RH tail lamp (C125-3), again on a red/orange wire. The lamp is earthed (C125-1) on a black wire.

Fuse 12 of the passenger compartment fuse box (581-4) also supplies a feed to the instrument pack warning lamp (C230-8) on a red/orange wire. The warning lamp is earthed (C230-4) on a black wire.

Headlamps

With the lighting switch in position 2, power flows through the switch (C41-4) to the headlamp relay (C282-87) on a blue/yellow wire. The headlamp relay will not be energised unless the ignition switch is in position ’II’.

Dipped Beam

With the ignition switch in position ’II’ current flows across the switch (C90-1) to fuse 1 of the passenger compartment fuse box (C580-1) on a white wire. Fuse 1 (C580-2) supplies a feed to the headlamp relay coil (C282-85) on a white/green wire. The relay is earthed (C282-86) on a black wire. This feed energises the headlamp relay.

The lighting switch (C41-4) is now able to supply a feed to both the column switch (C36-1) and fuse 6 of the passenger compartment fuse box (C580-11) on blue wires. Fuse 6 (C580-12) supplies a feed to the fog ECU (C543-2) on a blue/purple wire.

With the column switch in the dipped beam position, current flows from the switch (C36-6) to fuses 7 and 8 (C580-13) of the passenger compartment fuse box on a blue/red wire. Fuse 7 (C580-14) supplies a feed to the RH headlamp dipped beam bulb (C11-2) on a blue/black wire. The lamp is earthed (C11-3) on a black wire. Fuse 8 (C580-16) supplies a feed to the LH headlamp dipped beam bulb (C9-2) on a blue/pink wire. The lamp is earthed (C9-3) on a black wire.
