Main Beam
When the column switch is moved to the main beam position, current flows from the switch (C36-5) to fuses 9 and 10 (C580-17) of the passenger compartment fuse box, and the main beam warning lamp (C230-6) in the instrument pack. All are connected by blue/white wires.
Fuse 9 (C580-18) supplies a feed to the RH headlamp main beam bulb (C11-1) on a blue/orange wire. Fuse 10 (C580-20) supplies a feed to the LH headlamp main beam bulb (C9-1) on a blue/slate wire. Both lamps (C11-3 & C9-3 respectively) are earthed on black wires.
Headlamp Flash
Fuse 2 of the engine compartment fuse box (C573-3) supplies a constant battery feed to the column switch (C36-7) on a purple wire. When the column switch is pulled back to the flash position, it allows this current to flow along the main beam circuit as described in the ’Main Beam’ description.
