Exterior mirror glass - electric

EXTERIOR MIRROR GLASS - ELECTRIC

Service repair no - 76.11.08

Remove

CAUTION: Wear protective gloves when handling glass.

1. Move mirror glass fully inwards and tilt outer top edge outwards.
2. Using fingers beneath rear edge of glass, release glass by carefully pulling it outwards.
3. Disconnect 2 Lucars and remove mirror glass.

Refit

1. Connect Lucars to mirror glass terminals.
2. Locate inside drive flange in mirror glass retainer, press mirror glass firmly to engage outer drive flange.

BONNET

Service repair no - 76.16.01/99

Remove

1. Support bonnet in open position.
2. Fit protection covers to wings and mark hinge outlines on bonnet if bonnet is to be refitted.
3. Disconnect washer tube at elbow joint.
4. With assistance, remove bolts securing bonnet and remove bonnet.

Refit

1. With assistance, position bonnet to hinges and lightly tighten bolts
2. Connect washer tube.
3. Remove protection covers, close bonnet to safety catch position and check that bonnet is aligned to both front wings and that gaps are equal.
4. Finally tighten hinge bolts to 9 Nm.
