A Align the holes B Pinion Shaft 3. Rotate the gears until the shaft holes in the pinion gears (arrowed) line up with the shaft holes in carrier. 4. Insert the pinion shaft and align the spring pin holes in one end with the matching hole in the carrier.

A Spring Pin B Pinion Shaft 5. Drive in the new spring pin with a pin punch. 6. Check backlash of both pinion gears again. **Standard (New): 0.05 – 0.15 mm** ● If still out of tolerance, replace both thrust washers. ● If still out of tolerance, replace the side and pinion gears, and recheck backlash. ● If still out of tolerance, replace the carrier complete.

A Final Driven Gear B Chamfer facing carrier C Differential Carrier D Bolt, 10 mm 7. Install final driven gear to carrier with chamfer on inner side of gear facing carrier. 8. Install the final driven gear. Torque the bolts to 103 Nm. *Note: The final driven gear bolts have left – hand threads.*
