3. Remove the bearing outer race and thrust shim from the clutch housing by heating the clutch housing to about 100°C with a heat gun.

CAUTION: Do not reuse the thrust shim if the bearing outer race was driven out.

Note: Do not heat the clutch housing in excess of 100°C .

4. After installing the non – selective thrust shim, install a bearing outer race in the transmission housing and clutch housing using the special tools as shown.

Note:

• Install the bearing outer race squarely.
• Check that there is no clearance between the bearing outer race, non – selective thrust shim and housings.

5. Install the oil seal.
