Reinstall:

Clean all gasket faces.

Coat bearing caps 1 and 3 with FORMAJOINT gasket Measure and take note of valve clearance. paste between the gasket faces (B).

Correct each clearance by choosing the required NOTE: Bearing cap No.1 is on the flywheel side. adjustment shims (7) in order to obtain proper operating clearance: REINSTALL:

• Exhaust (B): 0.30 mm ± 0.04 • The camshaft.
• Intake (A): 0.5 mm ± 0.04 • The bearing caps (

1).

Remove the camshaft pulley and its hub. Tighten the bearing cap bolts progressively in a spiral pattern, beginning on the inside.

• Tightening torque:

20 Nm.

REINSTALL:

• The lip seal (

3), using camshft seal mounting tool .
