Repairing the cover plate > < Setting the shift mechanism

Inspecting gear oil
Inspecting gear oil
Gear oil level is checked with the gearbox installed.
Gearbox oil specification → Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts.
   
–  Unscrew oil filler plug -B- for inspecting gear oil.
The oil is at the correct level if the gear is filled up to the lower edge of the oil filler hole.
–  Screw in bolt -B-.
If re-filling, do the following:
–  Unscrew bolt -B-.
–  Pour in gear oil up to lower edge of filler hole.
–  Screw in bolt -B-.
