Magnet

q	old magnet is destroyed by removing

q	press on new magnet, for example with pressure spindle -MP3-448 (VW 408A)-

Pressing drive shaft cylinder roller bearing out of cover

Pressing drive shaft cylinder roller bearing into cover    Set pressure plate -MP3-464 (30-205)- on bearing with recess upwards.   Note To press on the cylinder roller bearing, place pressure washer -T30047 (3062)- under stop flange ring for cylinder roller bearing in cover.

Removing drive shaft four-point bearing from cover –  Place screwdriver as shown in Figure, knock into dust guard -arrow- and lever off. –  Take off circlip. –  Take out bearing, and remove caulking recesses if necessary.

Installing four-point bearing for drive shaft in cover    Fitting position of circlip:    Ends of circlip -arrows- towards roll sleeve for secondary shaft.   Note If replacing the bearing or cover, the circlip thickness has to be determined again. Determine the circlip for four-point bearing for drive shaft: –  Press four-point bearing outer ring into the cover plate up to the stop. –  Determine the thickest circlip - that can be fitted - and insert. Axial clearance: max. 0.08 mm Circlips available:

Note Assign circlip via → Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts. –  Insert determined circlip.

Dust guard caulking when replacing four-point bearing for drive shaft –  For caulking, use a blunt centre punch with ball-shaped end (5 mmØ ball). –  Insert dust guard. –  Do an initial caulking -arrows 1-. –  Carry out the second caulking -arrows 2- at distance -a- from the first caulking.    Dimension a = 5 mm. –  Note position and Ø of caulking points:    Dimension b = 2 mm    Dimension c = 3 mm

Dust guard caulking when replacing the cover –  For caulking, use a blunt centre punch with ball-shaped end (5 mmØ ball). –  Insert dust guard. –  Place initial caulking point -arrow- at distance -d- from line through centre of shaft.    Size d = 10 mm –  Note position and Ø of caulking points:    Dimension b = 2 mm    Dimension c = 3 mm –  Place second and third caulking points in the same way, at distance -a-.    Dimension a = 70 mm.

Extracting secondary shaft roll sleeve from cover –  Take off circlip. A -  Interior extractor 23.5...30 mm, e.g. -Kukko 21/4- B -  Countersupport, e.g. -Kukko 22/1-

Driving in roll sleeve for secondary shaft    check fitting position → Fig.
