Contact Unit, Remove and Install  

Object Number: 616191 Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Steering wheel - see operation "Steering wheel, remove and install (version with Airbag)" in main group "M". Disconnect plug connections in the contact unit to the cable harness.  

Object Number: 2386370 Size: DEFAULT

Disconnect horn wiring harness plug. Contact unit from steering wheel -  
2 bolts.

Object Number: 616192 Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

When re-installing the contact unit: determine middle position.  

Turn coupler (3) in the contact unit (2) to the right until the resistance is noticeably higher and then turn back 2.5 - 2.75 until the arrows (1) are aligned.  

Object Number: 616201 Size: DEFAULT  Important!   

Do not overturn contact unit.  

Object Number: 616192 Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Contact unit. Horn wiring harness plug. Steering wheel.  

With new contact unit: remove locking screw.

Connect contact unit plug connections to wiring harness and insert plugs in fastening clip on steering column.  

Object Number: 616201 Size: DEFAULT  Important!   

Leads to contact unit must be routed below the ignition lock.
