Transponder Key

The vehicle key handle contains an integrated electronic component (transponder = transmitter + responder) without its own voltage supply. The voltage supply required is fed cordlessly to the transponder electro-magnetically.

For key recognition, the transponder code is transferred cordlessly from the transponder key to the immobiliser control unit.

Each transponder is programmed with a permanent identification code (transponder code).

The transponder code is different for each transponder key.
