Replace trailer hitch - L48/L70

Remove

1.	Detach rear panelling

Hang off exhaust end box

•	Hang off 2x rubber brackets

Detach trailer hitch socket

•	Fold down trailer hitch socket

•	Unscrew 3x bolt

•	Unclip and remove trailer hitch socket housing

Detach trailer hitch

•	Unscrew 2x nuts left (1) (Il)

•	Unscrew 2x nuts (2) right (I)

•	Remove trailer hitch

5.	Remove load compartment mat

Detach lower tailgate panel

•	Unclip 8x clip

Remove trailer hitch retaining plate

•	Unscrew 2x bolt

•	Remove 2x retaining plates

Install

Install trailer hitch retaining plate

•	Insert 2x retaining plates

•	Tighten 2x bolts 1.5 Nm

Install lower tailgate panel

•	Clip in 8x clips

10.	Install load compartment mat

11.

Install trailer hitch

•	Insert trailer hitch Note: Use new nuts and bolts with bolt retainer compound!

•	Tighten 4x nuts 45 Nm

12.

Install trailer hitch socket

•	Attach cable ties

•	Attach wiring harness bracket

•	Tighten 3x bolt

13.

Hang up exhaust end box

•	Hang up 2x rubber brackets

14.	Attach rear panelling
