Electronic Parking Brake Control Module Replacement Callout Component Name Preliminary Procedures 1. Release the electric parking brake using electrical release: 1.1.   Set ignition in Run mode and put your foot on top of the service brake. 1.2.   Press the parking brake switch down and hold for 5 seconds, then a solid yellow telltale is shown on instrument panel. 1.3.   Press the parking brake switch again within 5 seconds, then a flashing yellow telltale is shown on instrument panel. 1.4.   Disconnect the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection . 2. Release the electric parking brake using manual release: 1.1.   Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . 1.2.   Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation . 1.3.   Remove the rear wheelhouse panel liner. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement . 1.4.   Remove the rubber plug. 1.5.   Using a square tool with measure 3,2 mm (1/8 in) release the tension of the cable. 1 Electronic Parking Brake Control Module Cable 2 Electronic Parking Brake Control Module Nut (Qty: 2) Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 9 N·m (80 lb in) 3 Electronic Parking Brake Control Module Clip 4 Electronic Parking Brake Control Module Procedure Program the electronic parking brake control module.
