FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR
This is fitted on the return manifold and detects the temperature of the fuel through an NTC thermistor with a negative resistance coefficient.
The sensor is made with semi-conductor technology; therefore, if the temperature of the sensor increases as the fuel temperature increases, the resistance rating lowers. As the change in resistance is not linear, with the same increase in temperature, it is higher for low temperatures than for higher ones.
