The Body Computer Node (NBC) controls many functions microelectronically and is interconnected to the facia electromechanical control unit (CPL). They are located in the area beneath the facia and make up a single unit known as the facia node (NPL).

The electronic part and the electromechanical part both act as interconnections with the system and include fixed connectors for connection to the front, rear and facia wires.

Fuses are relays are fitted to the electromechanical part while the electronic part contains a fixed connector for the EOBD. This connector is used for diagnosis/programming of the NCM, NFR, NCR and CAB via a K line - and also diagnosis/programming

of components with a B-CAN line interface.
