K08 Display does not show outside temperature

With the ignition ON, the outside temperature is not displayed by the milometer.

0PRELIMINARY CHECK

Verify:

  • That the instrument panel light dimmer has not been selected.
  • That the mode button has not been pressed.
  • That there are no dashes displayed in place of the temperature
  • That there are no failure messages displayed
OK

Move onto step 1

The display shows other information
  • Restore the display conditions using the left control panel

End of diagnosis

There are dashes in place of the temperature.

Move onto step 2

1CHECK WITH DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT

Connect the Examiner to the diagnostic socket.

Verify:

  • that there are no faults
  • the temperature seen from the driver's door connector
OK

Move onto step 2

Errors present
  • Continue according to the instructions for the diagnostic equipment

2CHECK ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT

Verify:

  • That the connections between the outside temperature sensor and the driver's door connector are correct
OK

Move onto step 3

Connections defective

End of diagnosis

Sensor not working properly
  • Replace the outside temperature sensor in the door mirror Op. 7005R30

End of diagnosis

3CORRECT OPERATION CHECK

Check that the fault is no longer present
