K06 Trip meter fails to reset

With the ignition ON, the milometer cannot be zeroed using the button.

Step	Test procedure	Result	Action
1	CHECK WITH DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT Connect the Examiner to the diagnostic socket. Verify: that there are no faults in the instrument panel	OK	Move onto step 2
1		Errors present	Continue according to the instructions for the diagnostic equipment End of diagnosis
2	CHECK ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT Verify: connections between left control panel and instrument panel connections between left control panel and earth left control panel earth Wiring diagram E4010 INSTRUMENT PANEL	OK	Move onto step 3
2		Connections defective, earth defective	Restore the correct connections, if necessary, replace the wiring : Wiring diagram E4010 INSTRUMENT PANEL End of diagnosis
3	LEFT CONTROL PANEL CHECK Check that the left control panel is working properly: Wiring diagram E4010 INSTRUMENT PANEL	OK	Move onto step 4
3		Left control panel defective	Replace the left control panel Op. 5560B56 End of diagnosis
4	CORRECT OPERATION CHECK Check that the fault is no longer present	OK	Incorrect selection of diagnostic procedure
