NUMBER PLATE LIGHT NOT WORKING

The no. plate lights are turned on directly by the Body Computer Node when the Side Lights or Parking Lights (all four) on signal is received

0	PRELIMINARY CHECKS	All OK	Problems met	Operation
		Results of the tests
	Turn the key to the ON position and check that all the lights (side and no. plate) come on when the side lights are activated. Then turn the key to the PARK position and check that the lights remain on	End of diagnosis	The side lights doe not come on with the key in the ON position	Continue as instructed See table See table I01 SIDE LIGHTS/NO. 			The side lights do not remain on with the parking lights	Continue as instructed See table See table I02 PARKING LIGHTS NOT WORKING

1	CHECK WITH DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Connect the Examiner to the diagnostic equipment and check that there are no faults at the Body Computer Node	Continue to Step 2	Presence of faults	Continue following the instructions for the diagnostic equipment
2	ACTIVE DIAGNOSIS	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Keeping the diagnostic equipment connected, check number plate light bulb operation by mean of active diagnosis:	Continue to Step 4	The no. plate lights do not come on	Continue to Step 3
3	ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT CHECK	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Check the condition of the bulbs. Check the continuity and the insulation of the wiring between the Body Computer Node and the number plate lights connector See See E2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS	Continue to Step 4	Blown bulbs	Replace the no. plate light Op. Op. 5540A94 L/H OR R/H NUMBER PLATE LIGHT (ONE) - R+R
