SIDE LIGHTS NOT WORKING

The side lights are switched on directly by the Body Computer Node at the same time as the number plate lights.

0	PRELIMINARY CHECKS	All OK	Problems met	Operation
		Results of the tests
	With the ignition ON, turn the ring nut on the steering column switch unit to the side lights and check that the side lights and the number plate lights come on. Turn the key to PARK and check that the side lights and the no. plate lights come on	End of diagnosis	None of the lights come on in any conditions	Continue according to the instructions in See table See table I01 SIDE LIGHTS/NO. PLATE LIGHTS NOT WORKING
			The parking lights do not work	Continue according to the instructions in See table See table I02 PARKING LIGHTS NOT WORKING
			Only the side lights are not working	Continue to Step 1
1	CHECK WITH DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Connect the Examiner to the diagnostic equipment and check that there are no faults at the Body Computer Node	Continue to Step 2	Body Computer faulty	Continue according to the instructions for the diagnostic equipment
2	ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT CHECK	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Check the condition of the bulbs. Check the continuity and insulation of the wiring for the front and rear side lights See See E2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS	Continue to Step 3	Front bulbs blown	Change bulbs Op. 5540B26
			Rear bulbs burnt out	Change bulbs Op. Op. 5540A50 TAIL-LIGHT BULB (ONE), LH OR RH - REPLACE
			Connections broken/short circuited	Renew the electrical connections See See E2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS
	Check the condition of the bulbs. Check the continuity and insulation of the wiring for the front and rear side lights See See E2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS	Continue to Step 3	Front bulbs blown	Change bulbs Op. Op. 5540B49 BULB FOR SIDE LIGHT ONE LH OR RH OF ONE GAS DISCHARGE LIGHT CLUSTER RR WITH LIGHT CLUSTER REMOVED
