Semi-independent layout with wheels interconnected by a torsion beam.

The new stiffened pipe anti-roll bar has also allowed roll stabilising rigidity of 40% to be acheived, improving driving precision and roadholding.

The vertical arrangement of the shock absorbers with the body attachment in the wheel arch has improved sound-proofing to filter out road surface uneveness with benefits in terms of noise levels in the passenger compartment.

The axle structure consists of two-part pressed side beams welded to a side torsion bar, plus a new stabiliser bar passing through the beam and welded to the arms.

The axle attachment bushes are made from rubber and metal to improve longitudinal absorption and comfort.
