Replacing auxiliary component belt

REMOVING - REFITTING AUXILIARY COMPONENT BELT

Position the vehicle on a lift, disconnect the battery negative terminal, remove the right front wheel and then proceed as follows:

  1. Remove the right front wheel arch lining in order to gain access to the auxiliary component drive belt.

Check the condition and efficiency of the auxiliary component drive belt. In particular, check for cracks, tears, surface wear (smooth or shiny in appearance) and dry or hard parts with consequent loss of grip. Replace belt if even one of the above defects is present.
