REMOVING - REFITTING DEHYDRATING FILTER
Drain the air conditioning system and proceed as follows:
- Position vehicle on a lift and raise. Unscrew screw retaining delivery line to dehydrating filter.
- Undo nuts retaining dehydrating filter mount to body.
- Disconnect three-stage pressure switch connector and unscrew outlet line retaining screw before removing dehydrating filter.
- Separate dehydrating filter from mount by loosening retaining clip nut.
Reverse order of removal operations to refit, making sure to check pipe fittings are properly aligned with dehydrating filter ducts before tightening nut shown in figure 4.
NOTE To prevent the dehydrating filter absorbing too much moisture from the environment, which could impair its operation, it is advisable to leave no more than 15 minutes from the time of connecting to system to filter installation. If this is not possible, seal filter inlet and outlet lines or free ends of connected hoses with water-tight plugs.
