3. Checking

Remove :

• The upper chain guide (15)
• The timing chain guide (17)
• The timing chain guide (12)
• The bolts (13)
• The camshaft drive sprockets (14)
• The tool [0198-N1]
• The timing chain (16)

CAUTION : If immobilising the vehicle for a prolonged period; Refit the tool [0198-N1].

Remove the timing chain (11) tensioner (if necessary).

3. Checking

CAUTION : Just prior to refitting, carry out the checks below.

Visually check the wear condition :

• Timing chain
• Timing chain guides
• Chain tensioner

Replace any defective parts.

4. Refitting

CAUTION : Adhere to the tightening torques.
