1.9 Multijet

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

Op. 4410D17 REINFORCEMENT FOR FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER - R.R.

Op. 1076B72 INTERMEDIATE EXHAUST PIPE WITH HOSE SECTION - R+R

1. Undo bolts (1a), (1b) and remove the lower reaction link (1c).

Refitting

- Refit the lower reaction link, tighten the new bolts to the specified torque.

Op. 1076B72 INTERMEDIATE EXHAUST PIPE WITH HOSE SECTION - R+R

Op. 4410D17 REINFORCEMENT FOR FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER - R.R.

Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

1.2 8v, 1.4 8v, 1.4 16v

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Unscrew bolt (1a), nuts (1b) and disconnect exhaust pipe (1c) from the catalytic converter.

1. Undo bolts (1a), (1b) and remove the lower reaction link (1c).

Refitting

- Refit the lower reaction link, tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

- Connect the exhaust pipe to the catalytic converter and secure by tightening the nuts and bolt to the specified torque.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

1.3 Multijet · 75 CV

Removing

1. Undo the nuts (1a), bolt (1b), and disconnect the exhaust pipe (1c) from the catalytic converter.

- Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the front and intermediate flexible pads and secure to one side.

1. Undo the bolt securing the lower reaction rod to the suspension crossmember.

2. Undo the bolt (2a) and remove the lower reaction rod support (2b).

Refitting

- Refit the lower reaction link in its seat and tighten the bolt to the specified torque.

- Tighten the bolt securing the lower reaction rod to the suspension crossmember.

- Connect the exhaust pipe to the front and intermediate flexible pads.

- Connect the exhaust pipe to the catalytic converter and tighten the nuts and bolt to the specified torque.

1.3 Multijet · 6 Speed, 90 CV

Removing

Op. 4410D17 REINFORCEMENT FOR FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER - R.R.

1. Undo the nuts (1a) and bolt (1b) and disconnect the exhaust pipe (1c) from the catalytic converter.

- Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the front and intermediate flexible blocks and secure to one side.

1. Undo the bolt securing the lower reaction rod to the suspension crossmember.

2. Undo the nuts (2a) and remove the lower reaction rod (2b).

Refitting

- Refit the lower reaction link and secure by tightening the bolts to the specified torque.

- Tighten the bolt securing the lower reaction rod to the suspension crossmember to the specified torque

- Connect the exhaust pipe to the front and intermediate flexible blocks.

- Connect the exhaust pipe to the catalytic converter and tighten the nuts and bolt to the specified torque.

Op. 4410D17 REINFORCEMENT FOR FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER - R.R.

1.3 Multijet · 5 Speed, 90 CV

Removing

1. Undo the nuts (1a), bolt (1b), and disconnect the exhaust pipe (1c) from the catalytic converter.

- Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the front and intermediate flexible pads and secure to one side.

1. Undo the bolt securing the lower reaction rod to the suspension crossmember.

2. Undo the bolt (2a) and remove the lower reaction rod support (2b).

Refitting

- Refit the lower reaction link in its seat and tighten the bolt to the specified torque.

- Tighten the bolt securing the lower reaction rod to the suspension crossmember.

- Connect the exhaust pipe to the front and intermediate flexible pads.

- Connect the exhaust pipe to the catalytic converter and tighten the nuts and bolt to the specified torque.
