View of the central ECU and surrounding connectors in the engine bay
  • disconnect central ECU connector;
  • unscrew nut shown in figure and disconnect earth lead;
  • disconnect connector for Fiat Lancia tester shown in figure;
Power steering pump and connected pipes in the engine compartment
  • drain the power steering system and disconnect pipes from pump;
Power steering system pump mounting bolts and link nut
Detached power steering system pump held by hand
  • loosen link nut and unscrew screws shown in figure. Then remove power steering system pump;
