1. unscrew the three front retaining nuts (arrowed, one is not visible);

NOTE The lower nut must be unscrewed with the aid of tool 1850160000.

2. unscrew rear bolt (arrowed);

• unscrew central nut retaining pulley to injection pump shaft;
• apply extractor 1860854000 to injection pump pulley by fitting two M7 bolts into the relevant holes (arrowed);
• remove pump from housing and overhaul.

Refitting

Refit the injection pump by carrying out removal operations in reverse order.

NOTE Check the presence of bolt (1) and washer (2) on pump mount.

Check key is properly positioned in pump shaft groove.

5.0 daNm

Tighten injection pump pulley retaining nut to the specified torque.

NOTE Remove both M8 securing injection pump pulley.

Adjust injection pump advance (as described on page 7).
