  1. Remove the fastening screw and disconnect the electric wire leading from the battery.

  1. Remove the fastening nut and disconnect the electric wire leading from the ignition block.

  1. Remove the two screws (1a) fastening the starter motor (1b) to the gearbox. Remove the starter motor.

Refitting

  • Position the starter motor and screw the two screws fastening it to the gearbox.
  • Connect the electric wire leading from the ignition block to the starter motor and screw the fastening nut.
  • Connect the electric wire leading from the battery t to the starter motor and screw the fastening nut.
  • Lower the vehicle.
  • Screw the upper screw fastening the starter motor to the gearbox.

Removal

  • Position the vehicle on a shop jack.
  • From the upper part of the engine compartment, remove the screw fastening the starter motor to the gearbox.

  • Lift the vehicle
  • Perform Op. 5040A28 - AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR SUPPORT BRACKET - R.R.
  1. Remove the fastening screw and disconnect the electric wire leading from the battery.
