• Carry out Op.7040H30 - FRONT PILLAR TRIM (ONE), LH OR RH - R.R.

1. Remove the snap fasteners (1a) fastening the roof panel trim with the special tool (1b), then take of the perimetric seal (1c) of the door frame.

1. Partly lower the roof panel trim (1a), insert suitable wedges(1b)between roof panel and trim, remove the perimetric seal (1c), apply some masking tape to protect body edges which are in contact with thewindscreen.

• Work from the car outside.

1. Use the vibrating knife (1a) with blade(1b) and cut the sealant cord (1c)on the lower side(1d)of the windscreen (1e).

1. Work from inside the vehicle using the vibrating knife (1a)with blade(1b) and cut the sealant cord(1c) on the windscreen perimeter (1d).
2. Apply the suction cups onto the glass and with the help of a second operator, remove the window and place it on a stand.

Refitting

1. Cut and level the sealant cord(1a)on windscreen compartment (1b) so as to leave a thickness between 0.25 and 1 mm.

Note: The sealant thickness remaining on the windscreen compartment serves as a support for the new gluing.
