DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION

The ignition switch power (INT) to the instrument E50 reaches connector A pin 5 via the line protected by fuse F22 in fusebox B1. Connector B pin 6 is connected to earth. Connector D pin 1 receives a signal via joint D46 from the tachometer sensor K84 for the electronic tachometer located on the instrument panel.

The clock inside instrument panel E50 is supplied directly (connector C pin 7) by the battery via the line of fuse F15 in fusebox B1 and maxifuse J/B1 in B5. Connector A pins 4 and 5 receive the signals from the fuel level meter located in the electric pump N40: the first signal indicates the reserve and the second signal controls the gauge.

Any low engine oil pressure is signalled to connector A pin 2 by the earth signal from sensor K30.

The handbrake switch I40 and brake fluid level sensor K25 signals reach E50 connector B pins 2 and 3, respectively.

The maximum temperature thermal contact K35 sends a signal to E50 connector A pin 1. For all other warning lights, refer to the wiring diagrams of the components they refer to.
