DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION

The supply controlled by the ignition (INT) for the instrument E50 reaches pin 18 of connector A from the line protected by fuse F22 of the junction unit B1. Pin 16 of connector B is earthed C20. Pin 9 of connector B of the control unit E50 receives a signal from the speedometer sensor K84 for the electronic speedometer located in the instrument panel.

The clock inside the instrument E50 is supplied directly (pin 17 of connector) by the battery via the line for fuse F15 of the junction unit B1. Fuse F15 is connected to the 60A maxifuse of B5.

Pins 14 and 15 of connector A of E50 receive signals coming from the fuel gauge, located in the electric pump assembly N40.

Insufficient engine oil pressure is signalled at pin 4 of connector B of control unit E50 by the earth signal coming from sensor K30.

The signals for the handbrake switch I40 and brake fluid level sensor K25 reach pins 2 and 3 of connector B of E50, respectively.

Pin 3 of the engine management control unit M10 is connected to pin 6 of connector B of instrument panel E50 to operate the engine coolant overheating warning light.
