DESCRIPTION

The instrument panel includes an electronically controlled tachometer, the signal of which is taken from the Hall effect tachometer sensor on the vehicle differential, a fuel level gauge, an analogue clock and a set of warning lights. Some versions may include an electronic rev counter contained in a separate module located above the dashboard (E4020 REV COUNTER).

The fuel level gauge presents an internal electronic circuit which controls the gauge and the reserve warning light (5÷7 litres). It also dampens the signal preventing rocking.

The analogue clock consists of a dial indicating hours and minutes. It is an electronic quartz clock and can be adjusted by means of a button on the dial.

In this diagram the functions of the warning lights that are not contained in other operations are illustrated:

  • fuel reserve level;
  • high engine coolant temperature;
  • low brake/handbrake fluid level;
  • minimum oil pressure.

The other warning lights are described and illustrated in the diagrams relevant to the components they refer to:

  • direction indicators (see E2020 - DIRECTION INDICATORS / HAZARD LIGHTS)
  • side/taillights (see E2010 - SIDE/TAILLIGHTS / NUMBER PLATE LIGHTS)
  • trailer lights (arrangement) (see E2020 - DIRECTION INDICATORS / HAZARD LIGHTS)
  • main beam lights (see E2012 - MAIN BEAM LIGHTS)
  • CODE failure (see E7010 - Code)
  • generator (see E5010 - STARTING AND RECHARGING)
  • automatic clutch failure see "ACS automatic clutch failure" (see E7040 - AUTOMATIC CLUTCH)
  • injection system failure (see E5030 - PETROL ENGINE ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT)
  • Air Bag failure (see E7030 - AIRBAG)
  • passenger airbag deactivation (see E70 30 - AIRBAG)
  • ABS and EBD failure (see E70 20 - ABS)

The panel works with the key at MAR. It is lit with the side/taillights (see E2530 - INSTRUMENT LIGHTING).
