DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION

Conditioner compressor enable relay J20 controls the compressor activation circuit.

The realy is supplied directly from the battery through power supply fuse line B51.

The conditioner compressor enable relay coil J20 is supplied from ignition switch power supply (INT/A) of fuse B10: this line is controlled by power supply cut-off relay (connector C) and protected by fuse F24, both located in the junction unit

Pressing the relevant button of switch control groupH90, a signal is sent (connector C) requesting the activation of the compressor.

This signal passes through frost sensor K86and 3-level pressure switch K5: if the evaporator temperature and circuit pressurised are correct, the signal arrives at the engine control unit M10 (pin 8). According to its internal control logic, control unit M10, sends the command for compressor activation(from pin 24 ) that energises relay J20.

In this way the relay, with a voltage of 12 V controls the air conditioner compressor enable solenoidL20.
