TRIP COMPUTER DESCRIPTION

2.4 20V, 3.0 V6, 3.2 V6, 2.4 JTD 20V · Automatic Transmission

Description

The info-telematic control unit also manages the Trip Computer which, by means of network information concerning the instant consumption, fuel level and vehicle speed, makes it possible to display the following information on the LCD:

  • total duration of the journey from the time of departure (trip A and trip B);
  • distance from the departure (trip A and trip B);
  • average speed (trip A and trip B);
  • average consumption (trip A and trip B);
  • instant consumption;
  • fuel range (only if not in reserve condition);

The following can also be displayed if set previously:

  • distance from the destination;
  • arrival time;
  • maximum permitted speed

The trip computer is located inside the instrument panel immediately below the multi-function display. The instrument panel is a node of the CAN, through which it communicates with the other electronic units located on the vehicle

See E4010 INSTRUMENT PANEL

The trip computer on this version differs from the previous ones through the presence of a gear engaged display for the automatic transmission system.

See E7050 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

The trip computer functions are also integrated with those coming from the navigation system to provide the driver with additional information concerning the distance travelled and the arrival time at the destination.

The display of the distance travelled (Km) is zeroed when one of the 4 doors is opened.

The trip computer only works with the engine started up (+15).
