ELECTRIC STEERING WARNING LIGHT ON

After the initial test, the electric steering warning light remains on

1	CHECK WITH DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT	All OK	Problems met	Operation
		Results of the tests
	Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment and check, in the Instrument Panel Node ambient, that there are no errors and the following parameters are present.	Continue to Step 7	Impossible to connect with the NQS control unit	Continue to Step 2
		Continue to Step 7	There are errors	Continue to Step 5
2	ELECTRIC POWER SUPPLY CHECK	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Check that the Instrument Panel Node electrical power supply is correct See E4010 INSTRUMENT PANEL	Continue to Step 3	Positive and/or earth electrical power supply faulty.	Replace the component involved (if a fuse is involved, search for the cause of the problem)
3	CHECK ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Check the electrical connections for the Instrument Panel Node, in particular making sure that each individual pin is correctly connected and inserted in its housing.	Continue to Step 4	NQS electrical connections not working.	Restore damaged electrical connections.
4	CHECKING WITH DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Using the Examiner, check the possibility of connecting with the Instrument Panel Node	Continue to Step 1	Impossible to connect with the control unit	Replace the Instrument Panel Node Op. 5560B11
5	ERRORS CHECK	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	With the Examiner in Instrument Panel Node ambient, check that the specific error is not present	Continue to Step 7	Error detected inside the NQS control unit	Continue to Step 6
6	CHECK WITH ACTIVE DIAGNOSIS	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	With the Examiner in the Instrument Panel Node ambient, check, in active diagnosis, that the Electric Steering warning light is correctly activated	Continue to Step 7	The warning light does not come on	Replace the Instrument Panel Node control unit Op. 5560B11
7	CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATION	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Check that the fault is no longer present	End of diagnosis	Fault persists	Continue as described in the Table See table K70 ELECTRIC STEERING WARNING LIGHT ON
