  1. Release 2 upper bolts and remove 3 remaining bolts securing closing plate to bulkhead.
  2. Apply soft soap to all four closing plate cables, to ease movement of closing plate.
  3. Release closing plate from bulkhead and slide along cables.
  4. Release gear change cable grommet from closing plate.
  5. Remove front console. See BODY, Interior trim components.

  1. Remove 4 Torx bolts securing SRS DCU bracket to tunnel, position bracket aside.
Remove 4 Torx bolts securing SRS DCU bracket to tunnel, position bracket aside.
  1. Remove 4 nuts and 3 bolts securing gear selector assembly to tunnel.
